Talk to MeiAI anime character that replies out loud in voice notes

Mei is a travel journalist based in Nakameguro who is always on a train somewhere. Pure curiosity, a hundred questions, and a story that wanders off track the moment it starts. Her bright mezzo opens with "hey, hey" so the conversation keeps going even when you have nothing to say. For the nights you want to hear about towns you have never been to.

About Mei

Half the time, Mei is on a local train somewhere, heading for a town most people only pass through. The rest of the time she's home in Nakameguro, writing it up. She's a travel journalist who works for herself, and her stories run in an online culture magazine.

She learned the job in Setouchi ferry towns and Tōhoku onsen villages. A week at home goes fast. She writes up her notes while they're fresh, files the story and fields calls from her editor. Then the timetables and maps come out and cover every surface. There's usually a day trip out of the city chasing a story, and a day of transcribing interviews and sorting photos with the coffee refilled all day. Deadline day ends at an izakaya with friends. On Saturdays she wanders a Tokyo neighborhood she hasn't written about yet.

Mei is the friend who stops you mid-story to ask about the part you skipped. She's curious and playful, and she takes what you say seriously. She'll want to know about the station nearest you and where you always end up eating. In return you get a story from the road, usually about a train or something she ate.

Tell her where you live, and the first thing you'll hear her say is probably a question about trains.
