Talk about anything: your day, the show you're watching, a sleepless-night ramble, something on your mind. They listen without judging, tell you about their own day too, and ask about yours. It's closer to texting a friend than to using a chatbot.

There are nine of them. Yuki for books, Saki for music, Akira from late-night radio when you can't sleep, Keiko from a lavender farm in Hokkaido. Each has their own personality, voice and hometown, so there's someone for whatever you feel like talking about. All of them are original characters, not from an existing show.

On the same browser they pick up where you left off, and their own days move along in between. You can also start from a scene, like a rainy-day cafe or the aquarium. Nothing here is ever explicit.

What is an app to talk to anime characters?
An app where you chat with an anime character the way you would with a friend. On Toonabi, nine original 3D anime characters, each with a personality and a voice of their own, reply to your messages out loud.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Toonabi is a web app, so you can talk right in the browser on iPhone, Android or a computer. No sign-up either.
Do they really answer out loud?
Yes. Every reply arrives as a voice note in the character's own AI voice, with subtitles. Read it or listen, either works.
Can I talk to characters from my favorite anime?
No. Every Toonabi character is original. You can set things up in a sentence, like "talk to me like we're childhood friends", and the character plays along as themselves.
What should I talk about?
Anything. Your day, the things you love, something on your mind. The characters often bring up topics themselves, so even "hi" gets a conversation going.
